I work entirely through an all-in-one client management software called Honeybook. I send all contracts and invoices through this system. Payment can be submitted here. I require a 50% non-refundable retainer to book your session (if not booked through a wedding package) and officially get you on my books for that date. The remainder is due 1 week before your session!
I always recommend the sooner, the better! Most couples start looking to within a few weeks after being proposed to. However, feel free to take your time and do your research on your photographers. Photographers tend to book up quickly, but this is a big part of your day. Take your time and make sure you find the perfect fit for YOU.
Wherever your heart desires, but I'm also here to give suggestions. If you don't have a specific location in mind, I always recommend doing the session somewhere that is special to you or send me your Pinterest inspo board and I'll give you some ideas based off of that!
Timing depends on the time of year and location. If we are going to be out in the open somewhere, I like to plan around sunrise or golden hour if we can. This helps to soften the lighting. If we are going to a location with lots of trees or shade, or if it's a cloudy day, then anytime during the day will work.
I do not offer prints in my packages, but I am happy to point you in the right direction for photo labs. Just reach out and ask!
All of the final edited photos will be delivered to your email with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can download your photos with the provided PIN, share the link with friends/family, share to social media, and order prints.
I appreciate when clients send pictures of their outfits before a session. That way, we can plan the location bearing in mind what you will be wearing. You don’t want to clash with your surroundings. We’ll pick a location that’s best for you or I can help you pick your outfits based on location chosen.
Just let loose, be yourself, and let's have some fun! Don't think about it, just trust me. I'll give you guidance and we'll have a good time! My goal for every session is that you get back to your car and say "that was so fun." We'll get some classic posed shots as well of course, but I want you to feel like YOU throughout the entire session.
I'm based out of Atlanta, GA! Traveling is a passion of mine and I end up traveling for many of the session that I photograph. travel costs are included for any session within 1 hour of Atlanta, GA. Anywhere else in the continental U.S. or International is subject to travel fees. For session that I can drive to, travel fees are simple. I have a flat rate mileage fee. If I have to stay overnight, a lodging fee will be added. For sessions that I have to fly to, it's more of a case-by-case basis, but you could expect the travel fees to cover the flight, rental car, lodging, and other travel costs.
No session is too far. Just inquire for more information.
To hair and makeup – if you can and WANT to, then absolutely YES!!! I want you to look and feel your best for this shoot! Confidence radiates through the camera. If getting your hair and makeup done will help with that, then I love it. The shoot is also a great opportunity to test run your wedding day makeup artist.
As far as spray tans – I’d have to say no. I can’t tell you how many girls I’ve seen with orange feet or hands for pictures. You don’t want that. Unless you can for sure get a spray tan without your hands and feet looking orange, just don’t. I know you ladies want to look a little darker, but I also want your pictures to look like everything you’ve ever dreamed of.
I don't believe props are necessary, and I think that they can even take away from the couple. Champagne can be a fun touch, but I personally recommend minimizing props.
However, I LOVE when pets are a part of your session, just give me a heads up!! Just please remember that we won't be shooting with them the entire time, so please have someone tag along to watch them if needed.
I probably get asked this question the most! I try to help couples plan outfits based on location, but neutrals are almost always my recommendation. Outfits play a much bigger role in the overall look of the photos than most people think.
